Home de la Glacière (Brussels)

The Home de la Glacière was a Jewish children's home in Brussels, managed by Rabbi Yona Tiefenbrunner. Under extreme conditions between 1942 and 1944, the home provided a safe environment for hundreds of Jewish children and cooperated with resistance networks.

Rabbi Tiefenbrunner and his staff worked secretly with underground organizations, including Antwerp networks, to hide children. The home managed to remain open throughout the occupation and, after the war, served survivor children until 1960.
